Meet Frank Gamboa, DDS

For Dr. Frank Gamboa, dentistry is more than a profession—it’s a way to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Gamboa brings a warm, patient-centered approach to care that reflects his passion for helping others. His journey into dentistry was inspired by a childhood motorbike accident that required extensive dental treatment. Experiencing firsthand the impact that compassionate dental care can have on a person’s confidence and well-being motivated him to pursue a career dedicated to helping others smile, heal, and feel comfortable.

Dr. Gamboa earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University before continuing his education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to treating patients the way he would want to be treated—with kindness, honesty, and genuine care. He understands that visiting the dentist can be stressful for some people, and he takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Gamboa enjoys making the most of the outdoors and the natural beauty surrounding Asheville. Whether he’s playing soccer, skiing, hiking mountain trails, or exploring new adventures, he loves staying active and spending time in nature. He also enjoys relaxing with his Goldendoodle, Leo, who is a constant companion and source of joy. Above all, Dr. Gamboa values the connections he builds with his patients and feels grateful for the opportunity to help them achieve healthy, confident smiles.
